PRODUCT QUESTIONS

What is the Mirror Mat?

The Mirror Mat is golf’s visual & versatile training platform—a stand-on mirror that gives you a full body ground-up view of your setup, posture, swing path, and clubface in motion.
It’s the first mirror you can stand on—and swing on. By combining a lifesize reflective surface with a built-in hitting zone, the Mirror Mat allows you to hit balls at full speed while getting real-time feedback. There’s no need to switch stations or reposition between drills. Everything happens in one place.
It’s designed to help you see every part of your game—from putting to full swings—with clarity and precision. Whether you’re training setup, takeaway, body motion, or clubface control, you can see it, adjust it, and own it.
But it’s more than just a mirror. With its customizable surface, modular side panels, and visual alignment tools, the Mirror Mat becomes your personal swing station—versatile, portable, and built for every stage of improvement.
Whether you're a beginner or a competitive player, the Mirror Mat helps you train smarter, ingrain technique faster, and Get Visibly Better.

How is the Mirror Mat different from other training aids or mirrors?

Most golf mirrors are small, flat putting aids that only show part of your body. The Mirror Mat is the first mirror you stand on—giving you a grounded, full-body perspective while staying in your natural golf posture. You can see your setup, body motion, and even the clubface—all from your own point of view.
But that’s just the beginning.
The Mirror Mat is the only product that combines a reflective surface with a functional hitting area. You’re not just looking at your swing—you’re training it, with the ability to hit full-speed shots without leaving your station. No repositioning. No switching mats. Just real-time visual feedback where it matters most.
And the modular side wing mirrors? They act like upgraded alignment sticks and mini plane boards—but better. You can use them to guide takeaway, check shaft angle, create checkpoints, or build creative swing stations. They’re adjustable and designed to evolve with your training.
The Mirror Mat brings together the functionality of multiple training tools in one clean system—designed to make your practice more efficient, more effective, and a lot more enjoyable.

What can I actually see in the reflection?

Everything. And we mean everything: your full body and the golf club, with clear visibility throughout the swing.
You’ll see your setup, stance, alignment, posture, hand position, shaft angle, and even the clubface during your swing. You can track movement from takeaway to impact and beyond—all from your golfing point of view.

Can I use the Mirror Mat indoors and outdoors?

Yes! The Mirror Mat is designed primarily for indoor use and works well on carpet, turf, hitting mats, or hard floors. If you hit balls at full speed with real golf balls use a hitting net. It pairs great with simulators, launch monitors too.

If using it outdoors, we recommend placing four attention guides under your feet for added traction. Water, dust, or debris can make the surface slick, so use caution. The Mirror Mat performs best indoors—but if you do take it outside, just use common sense.

How does it help my swing?

The Mirror Mat gives you instant visual feedback, helping you identify and correct flaws faster. You’ll see whether you’re aligned properly, whether your club is moving the way you intend, and how your body positions match your goals—all from your own perspective.
It’s not just about seeing—it’s about learning better. The Mirror Mat provides multiple streams of feedback: visual, spatial, and kinesthetic. This kind of multi-sensory input helps you improve faster and retain changes longer. (Research shows that people retain larger visuals up to 1.5 times longer than smaller or abstract ones.)
As you train, you’ll build a deeper understanding of your swing and sharpen your visualization skills—so what you see during practice translates to what you feel on the course.
And when you trust what you see and feel?
That’s when your confidence grows—and that can only lead to lower scores.

Is the Mirror Mat safe to stand on? What kind of SHOES should be worn?

Yes! It’s made with a flexible but durable reflective surface that’s designed to be stood on. The base is cushioned for comfort and built for stability. It’s completely shatterproof under normal use.

WEAR FLAT RUBBER SOFT SOLED SHOES: tennis shoes or athletic shoes. Don't wear spikes or heel shoes with uneven soles could add to extra wear and tear on the reflective surface.

Will the mirror break or bend?

The Mirror Mat is bendable—not brittle. It’s designed to flex slightly and features a shatterproof reflective surface that won’t crack or break under normal use.

That said, it’s a golf training product. Over time, you may notice minor wear like scuffs, hairline scratches, footprints, or fingerprints—especially if you’re using it regularly (which we hope you are). These marks wipe away easily and won’t interfere with your ability to see your setup or swing.

To protect the surface, we’ve included a hitting strip, which is the recommended spot for making contact with the ground. You should aim to swing just above the reflective surface itself—without striking it. If you do make occasional contact, it won’t break, but it may leave marks similar to what you’d see on a lie board during a club fitting.

We like to think of small imperfections as signs of progress, not problems. Your Mirror Mat is built to be used—and to help you get visibly better.

How much does the Mirror Mat weigh?

The Mirror Mat has three parts:
- Main Mat: ~9 lbs
- Each Side Wing Mat: ~3 lbs
- Total system (with carry case + accessories): ~23 lbs

It’s light enough to carry, but heavy enough to stay flat and stable during use.

What materials is it made from?

The Mirror Mat combines a shatter-resistant reflective surface with a soft, non-slip foam base. The exterior is wrapped in hand-sewn PU leather with anti-slip backing. Every element is built for durability and performance.

What size is the Mirror Mat?

The Main Mirror Mat measures 35.5" x 48" when laid flat, providing ample space for most golfers to swing with a comfortable stance and achieve a full-body reflection.

The two Side Wing Mats, each measuring 35.5" x 12", can be positioned anywhere around the Main Mat. This allows you to expand your setup from a compact 3' x 4' to a wider 3' x 6' footprint—or even stretch it to a 9-foot horizontal view when placing the mirrors shaft-to-shaft.

In total, the Mirror Mat provides nearly 18 square feet of reflective surface—plenty of space to see what you want to see and do what you want to do.

I'm a lefty—can I use it too?

Absolutely. The Mirror Mat is fully symmetrical and works equally well for both right- and left-handed golfers.

The only adjustment is the orientation of the hitting strip. You’ll notice an arrow printed on it—make sure it points in the direction you intend to swing (toward the target). The strip is secured with Velcro, so repositioning it is quick and easy.

Is the Mirror Mat already marked, or do I customize it myself?

The Mirror Mat is designed to give you the best of both worlds—a bit of structure and plenty of flexibility.

The Main Mat includes a ¾-inch pre-printed measurement grid around the perimeter, so it’s quick and easy to set up straight reference lines for alignment and body position checks. The center of the mat is a clean reflective surface, giving you full freedom to customize it with lines, checkpoints, or swing cues using painter’s tape, dry erase markers, or our optional accessories.

The Side Wing Mats come completely blank on purpose. They’re lightweight, portable, and versatile—not just for golf. Use them for off-the-course mirror work, getting ready after a tournament, helping your kids prep for a big moment, or anywhere you need a full-length mirror.

We give you a clean canvas—with just enough guidance to make it your own.

TRAINING & IMPROVEMENT

How do I train with the Mirror Mat?

Training with the Mirror Mat starts by using your reflection intentionally. The mirror gives you ground-up feedback so you can observe and adjust key fundamentals like posture, alignment, takeaway, golf club, and body positions.

We recommend breaking your training into two distinct zones:

- Learning Zone is for watching yourself, working on mechanics, and refining movements. This is where you rehearse slowly, check your positions, and make adjustments in real time. You’ll be standing on the reflective surface, using it to build awareness and visual feedback.

- Performance Zone is when you shift into full-speed swings or contact the ground. In this mode, your eyes stay on/toward the ball—not your reflection. (In this mode: you'll use the hitting strip instead of the mirror surface, so you can swing freely without damaging the mat.)

Think of the mirror as your coach during setup and training reps—and the hitting strip as your stage for making it real. Use the mirror to learn it. Use the strip to trust it.

Can I actually watch my swing while hitting a ball?

Not at full speed—and that’s by design.

When you're swinging fast or hitting a ball, your eyes should stay on/toward the ball—not your reflection. Trying to watch yourself in the mirror mid-swing will break your mechanics and timing.

That’s why we separate the Learning Mode from Performance Mode:

- In Learning Mode, you're using the reflective surface to rehearse and visually refine your mechanics—slow, deliberate reps.

- In Performance Mode, you're using the hitting strip, swinging freely, and trusting what you practiced—without trying to watch yourself.

The Mirror Mat is a tool for building better patterns—not chasing your reflection in the middle of a shot. Rehearse it first, then commit.

What is the Shaft-Span View, and how many views can I see with the Mirror Mat?

The Shaft-Span View gives you a full visual of your body and the entire golf club— when the club is at its farthest point during the backswing or follow-through. This is where you can truly connect how your body and club are working together. Seeing that full relationship helps you understand the swing as one integrated motion. After all, you have to see everything to fix everything

With the Mirror Mat, you get a total of six powerful swing views—including both traditional coaching angles and two unique, ground-up perspectives:

  • Golf Ball View (unique): See your body and club from the ball’s perspective—great for setup, takeaway, and start of the swing
  • Shaft-Span View (unique): See your full body and entire golf club: handle, shaft, and clubface at the farthest points of your swing.
  • Face-On View (traditional): Position the side mirrors to view posture, sway, and weight shift
  • Down-the-Line View (traditional): Track swing plane, club path, and shoulder alignment
  • Rear View (traditional): Evaluate hip turn, spine angle, and hand depth
  • Target View (traditional): See what is happening to the shaft and clubface approaching and after impact.

Together, these 4 traditional views + 2 unique Mirror Mat perspectives give you unmatched visual feedback—and a complete understanding of your swing from every angle.

What should I do if I’m not sure how to use it?

We’re here to help! If you’re not sure where to start, check out our instructional guide on the website, browse our video tutorials, or reach out with any questions.

That said, you’ll pick it up fast. If you’ve ever used a mirror at home, you already know the basics. This one MirrorMat just happens to be on the ground—and built for your golf swing. Within a few minutes, you’ll feel comfortable using the new perspective... and you’ll probably start having a lot more fun while you practice.

How often should I practice with the Mirror Mat?

That is completely up to you, with that said. Even 10–15 minutes a day with the Mirror Mat can lead to lasting changes. Use it for warmups, daily reps, or deep work on swing mechanics. We truly believe you will learn more in 10 minutes on the Mirror Mat than 10 hours on a solid green mat.

The amount of practice is up to you. What we know for sure: you’ll enjoy it. The Mirror Mat makes practice more visual, more productive, and a lot more fun.

What kind of drills can I do with it?

The Mirror Mat is designed for versatility. You can work on posture, alignment, takeaway, wrist angles, clubface control, impact, and finish. We offer video tutorials and a “MirrorMat to Mastery” series to help guide your practice.

The Side Wing Mats act like upgraded alignment sticks—but better. Depending on how you position them, they can be used as guides, blockers, or checkpoints for any number of drills. You can do just about any drill you already use—now with enhanced visual feedback.

Is it helpful for putting, chipping, or just full swings?

All of the above. The Mirror Mat helps with every part of your game—from setup and path on putts to posture and shaft lean in your short game, and full-body awareness in your full swing.

Will it help me fix a slice or hook?

Yes—visualizing your clubface and swing path helps you understand cause and effect. Seeing your reflection helps you adjust your motion and build trust in your swing. The Mirror Mat’s unique design can help you with any aspect of your swing.

Is it for beginners or advanced players?

Both. Beginners love the instant visual feedback, and advanced players use it to fine-tune the smallest details. The Mirror Mat is trusted by top instructors, college programs, and competitive amateurs.

FIT FOR YOU

What kind of player is the Mirror Mat designed for?

The Mirror Mat is built for all types of golfers—but especially those who are serious about getting better. Whether you're just starting out or already competing at a high level, you'll benefit from its unique ability to evolve with your game.

Here’s how different types of players can use it:

Competitive Players (Juniors & Adults)
Tournament players need precision. The Mirror Mat helps sharpen the details—like setup consistency, body alignment, clubface control, and swing path. It provides visual feedback without screen time, allowing for deep focus and repetition. It’s an absolute must-have for serious players and coaches working with competitive athletes.

Avid Amateurs
If you’re an experienced golfer who practices regularly or plays in club events, the Mirror Mat makes your time more efficient. It helps you self-correct, maintain good habits, and stay tuned into the movements that matter. You’ll use it to clean up mechanics, rehearse feel, and build trust in your motion.

Beginners
New golfers love how intuitive it feels to see themselves in action. The Mirror Mat helps them learn faster by providing immediate visual context for posture, stance, and motion. Instead of guessing what’s right, they can see it and start building muscle memory the right way.
No matter your level, every golfer goes through stages:

Learn → Ingrain → Maintain

The Mirror Mat supports all three.
It’s one of the few tools that can stay with you throughout your golf journey—and it helps every player improve with less screen time and more meaningful feedback.

Is the Mirror Mat good for juniors or kids?

Yes! The Mirror Mat is a fantastic tool for junior golfers.

Juniors benefit greatly from early visual feedback. It helps them understand setup, posture, and swing motion in a way that feels natural—because they can see it. The full-size mat gives them room to grow into it, and you can always add custom checkpoints or swing cues to match their current stage or body size.

It’s also a no-tech, screen-free way to stay engaged while training. In a world full of distractions, the Mirror Mat keeps young players focused, active, and learning through movement—without needing an app or device.

Best of all, the Mirror Mat grows with them. As their swing evolves, the same training surface supports more advanced drills and finer technical refinement. It’s a tool that stays relevant and valuable through every phase of a golfer’s journey—from junior development to competitive play.

Does it work for all body types, all ages, and all levels of play?

Yes—tall or short, flexible or stiff, young or old, beginner or professional, the Mirror Mat reflects you. It helps you find and train your best setup and positions, no matter your body type.
